We are delighted to invite you to an evening of chamber music at La Quinta this summer. On Wednesday, June 14 Los Poblanos will host a performance on the Grand Portal in collaboration with Chamber Music Albuquerque. CMA is the current name for the June Music Festival, started in 1942 by Ruth and Albert Simms, the original owners of Los Poblanos. Join us for an evening where history and art collide to learn about the origins of the festival and enjoy chamber music in an unparalleled historic setting. All ticket proceeds will go directly to CMA, a non-profit organization dedicated to continuing the Simms’ vision of providing the people of Albuquerque “the chance to hear and enjoy the great and beautiful works written by the great masters in the field of chamber music” (Albert Simms, 1952). ABOUT CMA: Chamber Music Albuquerque was founded in 1942 as the June Music Festival by Ruth and Albert Simms. In 1997, the Board of Directors felt the time had come to adopt a new name: Chamber Music Albuquerque (CMA), which better describes the scope of the organization’s programs.
Please plan to arrive at La Quinta 30-60 minutes before the start of the lecture to check in. Light beverage offerings will be available for purchase in the Library Bar.
