Denim 'N Lace is Theme of Corrales MainStreet Fundraiser

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Starry Night gala on Aug. 26, presented by Corrales MainStreet.

Perhaps the village’s biggest social event of the year, the event has been part of the social scene since 2005. It’s also Corrales MainStreet’s biggest fundraiser.

“It’s our main fundraiser to support MainStreet in all of its endeavors,” said Lynn Martinez, who sits on the Corrales MainStreet board and chairs the Starry Night committee.

Corrales MainStreet is a nonprofit organization that works to develop community-based projects for economic development purposes. Its mission calls for preserving traditions, way of life and historic and agricultural roots. 

They are the group behind organizing Viva Corrales!, Nichos de Corrales and the monthly First Sundays showcasing local artists and galleries.

The theme of this year’s gala is Denim ‘n Lace with country-rock artist Kyle Martin providing music.

“And the really good news is the dinner will be plated,” Martinez said.

In addition to the entertainment, the $150 cost includes dinner by M’tucci’s Italian restaurant, spirits from Perea’s Tijuana Bar and Restaurant and valet parking.

“We’ll have a libations tent with beverages from local wineries, Ex Novo and Spirits (of the Southwest),” she said.

This will be the third year in a row Starry Night will be held at Trees of Corrales. 

“The setting is amazing,” Martinez said. 

The event is called Starry Night in part because the dinner is held under a tent with a transparent top. 

“The views of the stars and sky are just gorgeous,” she said.
