A 2022 audit report received by the Corrales Village Council on March 14 found that the village was not compliant with state law and also found a material weakness.
During the meeting held last Tuesday, councilors listened to a presentation on the findings of the the 2022 fiscal year audit.
"We did not identify or report any significant deficiencies which are really things that are required to be communicated to the board. They are much less severe than a material weakness. And then we also do tests of the village's compliance with certain state statutes, certain areas or articles of the state constitution and just other regulations that apply to the village," said a representative
