“With heavy hearts and bright spirits, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Pauline Eisenstadt. Pauline was an amazing person, mother, spouse, friend and dedicated public servant. She was a trailblazer who gently and peacefully passed away, at home, of natural causes on March 1, 2024. Our mother was a woman of integrity and empathy, who dedicated her time and energy to advocating for those in need and striving to make her community a better place.
Born in New York, and raised in Miami, Pauline lived her life in New Mexico – with her husband Mel Eisenstadt – and loved it!  Together they lived full lives. Her journey led her to become the first woman to serve in both the New Mexico House and Senate, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape of the state. Her passion for social justice and unwavering commitment to her values made her a force to be reckoned with. She will be remembered as a true pioneer in the political landscape of New Mexico and a devoted champion of people and democracy.
She is survived by her sons, Todd and Keith “Keegan” and their families. Pauline’s legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who strive to embody her spirit, compassion and dedication to our shared future.
In celebration of Pauline’s life, Services will be held at 2 p.m. on April 27 at The Neighborhood, 900 Loma Colorado Blvd. NE, in Rio Rancho, where friends, family, and colleagues are invited to come together to honor and remember her. We hope that her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
