Sandoval County Treasurer Jennifer Taylor has been elected Secretary of the National Association of Hispanic County Officials (NAHCO). Her two-year term begins March 1.

NAHCO, which was created about 45 years ago as a Caucus within the National Association of County Officials (NACo), works to bring members together to advance Hispanic issues from a local official vantage point.

รขโ‚ฌล“My goal is to contribute to the further development, improvement, and success of county government here and across the country,รขโ‚ฌย Taylor said. รขโ‚ฌล“I am honored to have been elected to this position and look forward to doing the work of NAHCO that will ultimately benefit all counties and all residents.รขโ‚ฌย

Taylor said this new position complements her other board positions, including her appointment to the NACo Finance, Pension, and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and her position as the elected Secretary of the New Mexico Counties Treasurerรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs Affiliate. 

รขโ‚ฌล“Serving on both local and national organizations allows me to bring back best practices to Sandoval County and provides the opportunity on an elevated stage for me to share how Sandoval County works with its taxpayers,รขโ‚ฌย Taylor said.
