Editor’s Note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that proceeds from the event would benefit the Corrales Arts and Culture District and provide seed funding for a new center for arts, community and education in Corrales. It has been corrected to state that funds raised will support Corrales MainStreet programs and operations, partnering with the Village of Corrales, local businesses, community organizations and residents.
It’s no surprise that one of the biggest fundraisers in the village coincides with the Kentucky Derby.
This year, Corrales MainStreet is hosting the Starry Night fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 24, in conjunction with the 150th celebration of the country’s biggest horse race. The event will take place at Trees of Corrales, located at 7752 Corrales Rd.
Guests will receive a flute of sparkling wine from Vara Winery and Distillery and a complimentary Derby hat. A plated, sit-down dinner by M’tuccis Restaurant will be served with local wine and beer, and a dessert by chef and New Mexico Food Ambassador Jon Young. There will be a sealed-bid silent auction and live auction as well.
Tickets are $150 per person. To purchase tickets, and for more information, visit visitcorrales.com/starry-night.
