Display Advertising
Ad space is sold based on how wide the ad is (1 column wide, 2
columns, 3 columns or 4 columns) by how tall it is. The 1 column width
is 2 3/8ths inches; 2 columns is 4 7/8th inches wide; 3 columns is 7
3/8ths inches; and 4 columns (going all the way across the page) is 10

If you or your graphics person has an ad already composed, it can be
sent to us in hard copy (on paper) via regular mail to P.O. Box 806,
Corrales, NM 87048. If you have a digital file of the ad, it could be
e-mailed to us at
It would be helpful if
the digital ad is modified to fit the column width of the size you
prefer before it was sent. The digital file should be sent as a PDF
with layers flattened and all fonts embedded.
Corrales Comment can compose the entire ad for you if that is more
convenient. You may call for an appointment at 897-3700 to discuss your
needs, either at our office (3817 Corrales Road) or yours. If you
have a digital file of your logo or other illustration and wish to send
that to us by e-mail, in just about any computer program, that can be
sent to
, along with a message that
includes the wording you want in the ad. We could then compose the ad
and take a proof to you personally or deliver it my e-mail or fax.
Please allow plenty of time for us to work on your ad before our
deadline. Proofs cannot always be delivered to you if the ad is turned
in on deadline day.
Display advertisers are billed at the end of each month for the
space used in the two issues of Corrales Comment published that month.
No pre-payments or long-term contracts are required.
Unclassified Ads
These “want ad” type entries are published primarily as a community
service. We charge $3 for 25 words and then 25 cents a word for each
word over 25 words. Payment must accompany the unclassified ad when it
comes in. Sorry, we cannot bill for unclassifieds since we do not keep
records on which are paid for and which are not, except for
long-running unclassified ads.
If you wish the unclassified ads to run more than one issue, please
multiply the cost for running it once by the number of times you wish
it to run.
Please Note: If you send an unclassified ad via email, you must include your check number and the date it was mailed.
Corrales Services
Directory
These small ads promoting a service or product are included in each
issue in a “Spring –Summer” or “Fall–Winter”
version. Advertising is exclusive in the Service Directory; only one
advertiser per category is allowed… one plumber, one electrician, one
appraiser, etc. Cost is $120 for six months, or $200 for a full year.
Call first to see whether a category is open for the type of business
you wish to advertise.
Corrales Business Map
A street map of Corrales appears in every issue, with the location
shown for businesses that pay for a listing. Cost is $66 for a six
month period, February through July or August through January. A
full-year listing is available for $132. The listing includes the
business name and telephone number, plus a red arrow indicating its
location on the map.
Flyer Inserts
The cost for a Flyer Insert is $60, maximum size 8 1/2 x 11 inches,
delivered at least 3 days prior to publication date, Wednesdays at
noon. Flyer sizes less than 8 1/2 x 11 inches, add $15 for
difficulty in handling.
Corrales Comment Website
Your business, your property for sale or lease, or even your
valuable, unwanted item can be advertised on our website under certain
conditions.
A limited number of local “Click Thru” buttons are available and
will be prominantly displayed on the front page and selected internal
pages as appropriate. A six-month presence on our website with a 60 x
120 pixel “Click Thru” button costs $300 paid in advance; a full- year
“Click Thru” button sells for $500. A 120 pixels square “Click Thru”
button is available for $500 per six month period and $800 for one
year. Please provide your desired “Click Thru” button graphic in GIF
format or we can help you generate a suitable button using your logo
and desired text. Animated GIFs are supported.
Buttons to reach local ads that stay on our website cost $50 for 60
days, including a starting layout and one change during that time.
(Extra charges may apply to implement complicated digital files.)
Reduced rates are available for long-term advertisers on our newspaper
pages.
Please notify us by e-mail of your desire to advertise on our
website, and send a hardcopy or digital file to begin its
display. Please allow 2-3 weeks to implement.
A simple text message to advertise a property for sale or lease, or
to unload an unneeded item in our unclassifed ads area, may be added to
our website at a cost of $15 for 50 words in 12 point characters for 30
days. These “want ad” type messages, intended for non-commercial
purposes, will be accessed through a button containing a maximum of six
words, such as “Hay Wagon For Sale.”
