Re-opening of the old Corrales Chevron station was welcomed with a collective sigh of relief not long ago.
Already, even more changes are ahead.
The old gas station was re-branded as Fueling Corrales’ Phillips 66, and now there’s another marketing shift after the station closed temporarily in late June.
“Fueling Corrales now presents ‘The Organic Mechanic,’” Jesse Kalapa said July 2. “We have been going through a transition. We will soon have fuel for sale once our transition is complete.”
Kalapa said the retail part of the gas station has been remodeled for a new customer experience. The store will offer natural products and foods, locally roasted coffee and expresso, along with local arts and gifts.
Shelves will feature Michael Thomas coffee, Van Rixel Brothers gilatto and sorbet, delectables from The Chocolate Cartel, fresh breakfast and lunch burritos from Bocadillos, a South Valley catering business, Cowboy Up energy drinks and Zuber fizz soda, among other products.
“We will soon offer a membership program that grants a significant discount on everything in the store, as well as fuel deals. Our variety of local, natural, organic grocery items will broaden monthly,” Kalapa said. |
