Public comment is sought on plans to update the Coors Corridor Plan at a public involvement meeting in Taylor Ranch Tuesday, December 6.

The meeting at the Don Newton Community Center in Taylor Ranch begins at 6 p.m. The community center is at 4900 Kachina Street NW. The meeting runs to 8 p.m. The presentation starts at 6:30.

The only other meeting scheduled for this second round of public involvement is at the West Mesa Community Center, 5500 Glenrio NW on Thursday, December 8.

Planning alternatives under consideration include minor improvements at intersections along North Coors from Alameda and projects such as road widening and transit service.

The overall objectives of the Coors Corridor Plan, first developed in the 1980s, is to evaluate future congestion and mobility problems that will affect travel on Coors Boulevard from the Coors-Alameda intersection on south to Bridge Boulevard and to evaluate alternatives to meet existing and future needs.

For information about the meetings or about the land use plan update, call David Pennington of Parsons Brinckerhoff at 881-5357 or Richard Costales, City of Albuquerque Department of Municipal Development at 768-2774.
