The annual meeting of the Friends of the Corrales Library will be held at the library Monday evening, January 31.

It will begin at 7 p.m. when plans will be laid out for the new year.  Among other goals, the group hopes to reach a membership of 500 during 2011.

The non-profit has initiated a joint project with Albertsons supermarket. By presenting a “Community Partners Program” card at an Albertsons check-out counter, one percent of the total purchase will be credited to the Corrales Library. The card can be obtained at the library.

Also ahead in 2011 will be implementation of a grant to develop resources for e-books and e-audio products. A grant of $11,205 was awarded to the Sandoval County Digital Library Consortium which includes the Corrales Library.

Library hours are Mondays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays 1 to 9 p.m.; Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursdays 1-9 p.m.; Fridays 10-5 and Saturdays 10-1.
